In the field of fitness, “Flexibility is needed to perform everyday activities with relative ease.”(www.humankinetics.com)  By analogy flexibility when writing could  then be the ability to write with ease and even the ability to shift form or format with ease.

So what does “Flexibility” look like?

What does “flexibility” mean for ME?

What matters is that I take make the time to reflect! Self-improvement begins with reflection.  In order to improve both our present and our future, it is imperative that we begin with an understanding of the past.

  1. When I first started thinking about flexibility, I was thinking about how to empower students with flexibility entry points. Specifically, ways to enter reading, access concepts, or approach writing. Now I’m thinking how reflection is a neccessary component. Students need to recognize how these opportunities help them grow ideas and ways to approach their work.

      So many parts to flexibility . . . for teachers . . . for students . . . for content and all to “recognize how these opportunities help them grow ideas and ways to approach their work.” Love your additional ideas!

  2. The sign with all the arrows for me. I have too many directions to choose from, and they all seem like good choices.

      I love that sign. It looks like the reality of life – many choices that could possibly ALL work today. . . tomorrow . . . well, not so much!
