What matters?
Personal Best?
State Best?
National Best?
World Best?
What motivates you?
Does it depend on the topic/event?
Internal motivation? External motivation?
Private goals? Public goals?
Or a simple desire to “Be Better”? To “Do Better”?
What drives you?
(The record setting heat over Memorial Day began this thinking. Do I “set records” in my life? Is that a part of my goal-setting? Should it be?)

I’m always striving to win one more game at solitaire. My personal best is thirty in a row. I’m almost embarrassed to admit I play that much!
There are so many motivators in our lives. I think they change depending on the situation. But I guess really anything that motivates us to get up, do, and be better than we were before is a good thing.
